I’ve been talking a lot about random things lately, so now it’s time to move to another section: fashion! Particularly about gladiator sandals ’cause summer’s leaving us in Berlin and it starts getting really chilly. Even though I favor autumn due to the color festival in tree’s crowns, it’s still August! As a living creature on this planet, I have the right on warm days in August! (Note: Or did we lose it the moment we started releasing toxic gases in abundance every year?)
1. Variety of designs: If you were to be asked to imagine some gladiator sandals in your mind, these ones would probably pop into your mind (if you’re a bit into fashion). Some people may immediately fall in love with these shoes, others not. However, let me tell you: gladiator sandals are like any other trend not reduced to this form, this color and this material. In fact: not at all!
2. Comfort: Even though there are also gladiator sandals with heels, those without are definitely much more prevalent. They’re easy-going, can be styled laid-back, exotic or casual and you’re never going to get tired of them or to hurt your feet by wearing them all day.
3. Fabulous: They’re simply fabulous. We love shoes; we are always ready for some cool sneakers or some sexy heels, enjoy chilling in chucks and vans, appreciate the wonderful magic of pain-relieving wedges and adore bulky boots. However, what about sandals? As warm as summer was, I’ve rarely seen some sandals, let alone gladiator sandals. Summer may be about to end (at least in Germany) but I will continue fighting until you’re convinced of the fabulousness of gladiator sandals! Note: But I’m sure you’re already in love with them after having seen this collection.
At last I’d like to introduce you to one of my favorite fashion bloggers: Camille ! After her graduation with honors with a degree in BS Management from the Ateneo De Manila University in 2009 she decided to start her own label, Coexist and thereby made her debut as a fashionista who is widely recognized by the Philippine’s most influential fashion magazines. In April 2011 she eventually decided to “try” blogging which also explains the title of the blog: CAMILLE TRIES TO BLOG. Her assemblage of gladiator sandals is absolutely lovely (even though there are just 4 … yet!).
